To keep up to date with all the most recent information regarding the current situation please see our website’s COVID-19 updates page, to help you keep track on how the outbreak is impacting football across the county. We have also created a handy FAQs article which will hopefully be able to answer some of your questions during this difficult time.
We have also compiled a range of support and guidance that will help you and those around you stay both mentally and physically healthy during this 'lock down' period. We have included a variety of ways to keep both you and your kids entertained and active, including The FA Superkicks programme will be a great initiative to get involved with during the break to keep young primary school players active.

Club LeaderShip Experience
Middlesex FA are providing Charter Standard clubs with the opportunity to become a hub for referee development – providing trainee referees with a safe and enjoyable environment to complete the 5 matches needed to complete their course. Clubs can use these officials for these matches on an interim basis, with the view to keeping them on your panel of officials going forward, helping with the ongoing struggle of appointing qualified referees to all fixtures.
Advantages of this are:
- Providing a safe and enjoyable environment for trainee referees
- Improving the retention rate of referees
- Improving match day experience
- Increasing the pool of referees for clubs
- Opportunity to gain exposure from Middlesex FA for leading on this new initiative
If you wish to get involved in this initiative, please contact Daniel May – Workforce Development Officer

Ahead of the 2020/21 season and then for all newly qualified referees, yellow armbands will be provided for referees under the age of 18 to signify their age, ensuring coaches, spectators and players are aware that they are still subject to The FA’s Safeguarding Children legislation.
