General

You should start with our new, free online entry-level FA Playmaker course. This is perfect for anyone interested in taking a more active role in grassroots football. You can access this course here.

You should have been contacted directly to discuss the next steps. If you have not received this communication, please contact coaching@middlesexfa.com quoting your FAN number and the start date and venue of your course.

Your FA Safeguarding Children qualification is valid for three years from the date of completing the qualification.  If you have previously completed the three hour face to face FA Safeguarding Children workshop, you can renew this online free of charge.  Please click here to renew. 

Please note – this course will remain available until 30th June 2021. After this point you will need to complete the new FA Safeguarding Children course which you can access here.

If you have not previously attended the full FA Safeguarding Children Course and wish to gain your qualification, then you can complete this via The FA Safeguarding Children course.  This can be accessed online here.

This course is now being delivered by FA Education in a remote format and can be accessed here.

The certificates for these courses are available electronically through England Football Learning. Please e-mail education@thefa.com including the date and venue of the course you attended and your FAN number.

The FA accept a small number of sports first aid courses as an alternative to FA medical courses.  Find out more here.

fa INTRODUCTION TO COACHING FOOTBALL (LEVEL 1)

This course is now available to complete in an online format delivered by FA Education.  You can access this course here.  A pre-requisite of this course is the BT Playmaker by England Football which is free of charge to complete online here.

If you have attended up to a minimum of workshop 2 of your FA Level One Course in a face to face environment with Middlesex FA prior to December 2020 and are within your registration period, FA Education will assist you with completing the remainder of your course.

You should have received an e-mail from FA Education with details of how you can complete the remaining aspects of your course in a digital format. If you have not been contacted with details, please contact education@thefa.com .

If you have started a FA Level One course, you are given a two year registration period by 1st4sport to complete all aspects of the course, this includes all online modules. You must also have a valid FA First Aid & FA safeguarding Children qualification at the point of completion.

The FA Level One certificates are produced by 1st4sport directly and will be posted out. These usually follow 8 – 12 weeks from the date of completing all aspects of the course (including online modules). If you have not received your certificate after this timeframe, please contact 1st4sport on 0113 290 7610 or footballcoaching@1st4sportqualifications.com .

The FA Level 2 IN COACHING FOOTBALL

The provisions for this course will be controlled by The FA rather than County FA’s. Further details as to when this course will be available and how we can support you will follow in the near future. You can read about the changes here.

FA Education will support you to complete Block Three of your FA Level Two in a digital format. FA Education will be in touch in the early part of 2021 to discuss your options. Please contact education@thefa.com for further details.

We are working to offer learners the opportunity to complete Block Two of your FA Level Two in a face to face environment when it is safe to do so. We will contact all learners to discuss options to complete Block Two.

Upon completion of Block Two, you will be eligible to complete Block Three of your FA Level Two in a digital format via FA Education.

Yes, learners can receive an extension to their registration period with 1st4sport if you have been unable to complete aspects of your FA Level Two course due to the coronavirus pandemic. Please contact coaching@middlesexfa.com to discuss your options.

If you have started a FA Level Two course, you are given a three year registration period by 1st4sport to complete all aspects of the course, have your journal & project signed off by your tutor, complete a minimum of two in-situ visits and demonstrate that you meet the course competencies.  Learners must have attended all days of the course. You must also have a valid FA First Aid & FA safeguarding Children qualification at the point of completion.

The FA Level Two certificates are produced by 1st4sport directly and will be posted out. These usually follow 8 – 12 weeks from the date of being signed off by your tutor and completing your action plan. The FA LEVEL 3 IN COACHING FOOTBALL (UEFA B)

The provisions for this course will be controlled by The FA directly. Further details will follow in the near future as to how we can continue to support you in your journey towards the UEFA B. Please continue to review the following link of our web site.

If you are a UEFA B learner with Middlesex FA, please contact coaching@middlesexfa.com to discuss your registration period.

Please be advised that in order to complete the UEFA B qualification you will need to have met the following criteria before tutor sign off:

  • Attended all four blocks of the course in full.
  • Received a minimum of three in-situ visits and be deemed by your course tutor that you have met the course competencies. Further in-situ visits will be required if the tutor deems that you have not met the course competencies after three visits.
  • Have a fully complete journal & project signed off by your course tutor.
  • Have a complete learner & tutor action plan at the point of sign off.
  • Completed the relevant online modules.
  • Have an in-date FA First Aid & FA Safeguarding Children qualification.

The FA UEFA B certificates are produced by FA Education directly and will be posted out. These usually follow 8 – 12 weeks from the date of being signed off by your tutor and completing your action plan. If you have not received your certificate after this timeframe, please contact education@thefa.com.
