Recreational Disability Football
This is football but not as you know it – results, stats and performance can be damned. It’s not traditional; it’s where playfulness and friendships come together.
It’s a safe space where disabled children can believe and belong. It steps outside the usual parameters with a bespoke, flexible way of playing. Because this is football that breaks all the old rules and replaces them with a new one; just be you.
Comets is a recreational, pan-disability football programme for disabled boys and girls aged between 5 and 11. Pan-disability is the largest format of disability football, which sees players with a broad range of impairments and health conditions play together.
'Just Play’ is a turn up and play programme designed for players aged 16+ purely to enjoy the game. This is recreational football at it’s best – it’s about turning up for an hour of exercise and a bit of fun. It’s football for those who can’t or don’t want to commit to an eight-month long season of matches and training.
Frankly, it’s jumpers for goalposts, but we provide the balls, pitch and teams.
If your session doesn’t qualify for any of the above – don't worry! Middlesex FA may still be able to support you through funding, connecting, promotion and education. Please contact us to find out more.
