Roger Reed appointed Isthmian League President
We are delighted to announce that Middlesex FA stalwart Roger Reed has been appointed as the new President of The Isthmian League.
Having previously been secretary of Enfield FC in the mid 1990s, Roger joined Middlesex FA in 2000 inputting disciplinary reports before being made a Football Development Officer.
Following 16 months at Middlesex, he joined The FA and enjoyed six years as Regional Facilities Manager for London & The South East, until retirement in 2007.
Roger became a key member of the MFA Council and served on various committees until moving to Hertfordshire in 2011, at which point he was made an Honorary Member of the Middlesex Football Association.
He was the first Secretary of the newly formed Enfield Town, before moving to the role of Vice Chairman and in 2009 Roger played a key part in moving the club into their own ground, the Queen Elizabeth II Stadium. Using the experience he had gained at The FA, he was able to play a leading role in the project and after three years of hard work, Enfield Town moved in during the 2012/13 season. He was on the Board of the Club until being made a Life President in recognition of his commitment and fine work over the years.
He was co-opted on to the Isthmian League Board in 2006 and served as a Director of the League, with particular responsibility for ground standards, until 2022. Then, earlier this year, following the death of Lord Rosser, he was proudly made the new President of the Isthmian League.
Pictured alongside Roger is his wife, Cheryl, at the recent Isthmian League Presentation Dinner.
All of us at Middlesex FA would like to congratulate Roger on this appointment and thank him for all his stellar contributions across grassroots football in the last few decades.
