Wildcats and Squad – get support for Starting up 5-11 and 12-14 girls football

Middlesex FA are delighted to announce that applications are open for anyone that wants to start up recreational girls football. You can join our Wildcats providers if you’d like to run beginners 5-11 girls football, and you can also apply be a part of the brand new flagship Squad programme – extending the offer for beginners football for 12-14 year old girls.

This is a brilliant way to encourage beginner girls to potentially start football for the first time, or could be used as a platform to start up a youth female offering in your club or organisation.

Wildcats and Squad can be run across the county by grassroots football clubs, School Sport Partnerships and other organisations, providing girls aged 5-14 years old with an opportunity to play football in girls only environments, with emphasis on fun, friendship and enjoyment.

HAVE FUN, MAKE FRIENDS, PLAY FOOTBALL

Sessions take place on a weekly basis, for a minimum of 1 hour in a safe environment where girls with no football experience can; have fun engaging with sport, develop fundamental skills and create foundations for a lifelong love of sport.

For each Wildcats or Squad application you will receive:

£900 of funding over TWO years

Kit and equipment

Bespoke training to help you set up your sessions

Ongoing CPD for your coaches and volunteers

Access to Wildcats and Squad Festivals

Promotional assets

Support from Middlesex FA staff

All applications are made via the online FA Events platform, https://faevents.thefa.com/
