Middlesex FA, Inspired By WEURO 22 & Miss Kick Foundation Lock Up

A LEGACY FOR LONDON

Miss Kick Foundation and Middlesex FA are pleased to announce we are teaming up to deliver an exciting ambassador programme, aimed at supporting the UEFA Women’s EURO Legacy programme in London.

This programme will aim to recruit and deploy 10 young women, aged 16 – 25, who want to play their part in inspiring more women and girls across clubs, schools, and community groups in Middlesex, to play football. The ambassadors will play a pivotal role on the build up to, during and after the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 tournament and team up with us to create inspiring online content and stories.

With both Brentford Community Stadium and Wembley Stadium hosting matches, we want to help inspire women and girls across the host boroughs (Brent, Ealing, and Hounslow) to watch, participate and get involved in football. Ambassadors will have the opportunity to attend a mixture of both face-to-face visits at schools, clubs, and community organisations, as well as online sessions to share their stories and personal journeys in football.

Katie Phillipson Head of Participation & Development at Middlesex FA, said:

“We are extremely excited to be working with Miss Kick Foundation to deliver this programme as part of our wider UEFA Women’s EURO London Legacy plans. This partnership will support our efforts in inspiring positive change and enable us in further elevating the Women’s and Girls’ game in the build-up to the tournament and beyond. “

Nicky Affleck, Chief Executive Officer, Miss Kick Foundation, said:

“We are really pleased to be teaming up with Middlesex FA to deliver this ambassador programme in London. We understand the importance of activating partnerships and opportunities like this to create lasting legacy beyond the tournament. It’s a great opportunity for young women to take on a role model opportunity as well as tell their story. Whether you are a player, a coach, a referee, or a volunteer, we encourage you to apply.”

Together we want to inspire more women and girls to start, or progress in their football journeys, both on and off the pitch. We hope you will join us!

Applications to join our ambassador programme will open on our website on Monday the 11th April and close on Friday the 22nd April 2022.
