A MIDDLESEX FA CUP MATCH WITH AN UNUSUAL ENDING
Due to the nature of how this game ended, the upload of this match report has been held back to allow any disciplinary action to be closed prior to its publication.
Middlesex FA photographer, Chris Benn decided to feature Round 1 of the Middlesex Sunday Intermediate Cup last weekend. He chose the match between Ruislip Rangers and Adana Demirspor London XI played at Kings College Playing Fields.
The visiting side started the match with only 9 players. This was soon increased to 10, however. Ruislip Rangers immediately went onto the attack and Connor White released Massimo Simsi, whose low shot was just wide.
Ruislip Rangers took the lead in the sixth minute. Massimo was tripped in the penalty area and took the kick himself. Two minutes later Andrew Belton scored from close range to make the score 2-0.
A good move in the 15th minute produced Rangers’ third goal. Dominic Dempsey netted after Alfie McNulty’s shot had been saved.
A fierce drive by Adana’s Daniel Lvov was turned over the cross bar by Rangers’ keeper, James Brosnan, in the 18th minute.Alfie McNulty hit the post with a low drive after 20 minutes.
Then, 4 minutes later Dominic Dempsey netted with a cross shot for Rangers’ 4th goal and within a minute he added another from close range.
Despite the goals, the Adana keeper was having a good match and produced a series of close-range saves. At the other end, Daniel Lvov drew a good low save from James Brosnan.
Dominic Dempsey made the score 6-0 and completed his hat trick with a shot into the roof of the net in the 34th minute. Defender Thomas McCoy moved forward to smash in goal number 7 in the 40th minute.
Just before the break. the Rangers’ keeper saved a free kick under his bar from Daniel Lvov.

Nine minutes after the resumption, referee Luke Partington dismissed Adana’s Daniel Lvov from the field for violent conduct. The Adana team then decided not to continue with the match.
