Middlesex FA confirm new partnership with VEO

We are delighted to have agreed a partnership with Danish company, VEO.

Veo is a complete and affordable solution that helps football teams record and analyse matches and training sessions without the need for a cameraman. Middlesex FA are excited to be able to work alongside VEO and offer our clubs and learners the opportunity to test the equipment, learn about the innovative ball detecting AI, sophisticated editing tools and powerful 180 degree camera.

VEO enables you to record games with ease. Simply setup the camera prior to your game/training session via the app and leave it on to record for the entire game. The ball will be tracked during games and once it has been uploaded to the system VEO will tag the game for you and make it available to watch back online within 24 hours of upload. You can view the whole pitch due to there being two lenses on the device, choose to follow the ball as per the ‘normal’ television view and also segment the pitch into zones to aid your team presentations.

Previously having a team analyst has been very much for Professional teams only but this equipment now offers the opportunity to everyone in the game. No longer will you need to search for a volunteer or pay someone to record from a low level, simply setup the camera where you see fit and hit record. It’s easy to set up, waterproof and the tripod is sturdy, making it suitable for nearly all-weather conditions if positioned correctly. The device can be controlled by a smartphone; however, the intelligent technology even recognises half time, and automatically stops recording to save battery.

Middlesex FA have already started filming our Representative games and as part of this partnership will continue to do this throughout the season. This not only enables our coaches to watch and analyse the games but also has the option to offer access to opposition coaches to download matches for their own use. Middlesex FA will also be using this at some of the Middlesex Learning courses enabling our learners to sample the equipment as well as our tutors enhancing further their own delivery of the courses.

What are the specifics?

Software

VEO have developed a highly intelligent software that recognises the action on the pitch. With the position of players and the ball, our software create a video for you that automatically zooms and pans depending on the ball's position.

Editor

When your match is processed, coaches and players can watch the footage on Veo’s platform. In the interactive video player, Veo’s AI marks goals and kickoff and you can use drag and drop functionality to mark your own highlights.

Camera.

Veo is a 180° camera with two 4K lenses recording with 30 frames per second. The camera has storage enough for several matches and a powerful battery. Still, it weighs less than 1 kilogram making it portable for both home and away games.
