SSE Wildcats Take Over Rectory Park

Middlesex FA Youth Council Wildcats Festival a Roaring Success!

Middlesex FA Youth Council Wildcats Festival a roaring success.

On a very hot and sunny, late June morning a number of young Wildcats could be seen in their natural habitat. Roaming the vast pitches at Rectory Park as the counties SSE Wildcats Centres took over the site for a fun filled morning of football.

The Festival was part of a project being delivered by the Middlesex FA Youth Council; a group of volunteers aged 16-24 who work together to give young people a voice within a County FA. Part of the work they do is to identify and deliver projects aimed at enhancing football participation across Middlesex.

The Youth Council identified the Women’s World Cup as the ideal time to give the girls involved in our 24 SSE Wildcats Centres an opportunity to get their first experience of organised football. Then on Saturday 29th June we welcomed over 60 girls from 6 centres to get involved in our Wildcats Festival as they played in small-sided friendly fixtures for the first time.
