Middlesex FA is welcoming applications for the posts of a Referee Development Officer and a Facilities Officer - both fantastic opportunities for the right candidates to form part of our team, based at Rectory Park, Ruislip Road, Northolt.

REFEREE DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

What is the role?

We are looking for a Referee Development Officer to help develop our Refereeing workforce, primarily focussed on the recruitment, conversion, retention and progression of our Match Officials.

As well as this, the role encompasses strategic planning and support for the wider refereeing workforce (coaches, mentors and observers), as well as supplying appropriate guidance with safeguarding training and DBS requirements.

Refereeing will remain a keg focus in our new 2024-2028 Strategy and therefore it's important to ensure that we continue to make a positive impact in this area of work.

What will you do?

To support delivery of The FA Grassroots Football Strategy, FA Referee Strategy and the Middlesex FA Business Strategy.
To recruit, convert, retain and progress Referees to effectively service the game.
To undertake regulatory and operational administrative functions of the business.
To support the adoption of FA technology systems across grassroots football.
To assist in the efficient running of the Football Services department.
To comply with FA rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidance that are in place from time to time.
To contribute to the effective implementation of The FA's Safeguarding Operating Standard for County FAs

FACILITIES & INVESTMENT OFFICER

What is the role?

We are looking for a Facility and Investment Officer to support our current team to deliver investment in grassroots football facilities where it is most needed in our county.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about grassroots football, has the ability to help club volunteers to shape their ideas and be in a position to apply for funding to improve their facilities and sustain their clubs.

We have big plans to improve our grass pitches across Middlesex and this role will play a big part delivering this priority ensuring that our clubs and partners are able to access advice, support and funding through the Grass Pitch Improvement Programme.

Lots of our clubs require support to access grants for small scale projects for improvements, equipment and activities. Using your skills, you will guide them through the maze of opportunities available in the county and nationally.

What will you do?

To support delivery of The FA Grassroots Football Strategy and the Middlesex FA Business Strategy.
To deliver activations that strive for every affiliated football fixture to be played on a ‘good’ quality pitch.
To identify and activate priority projects for Football Foundation investment via Local Football Facility Plans.
To support the activation of the Football Foundation small grants programme.
To contribute to the effective implementation of The FA's Safeguarding Operating Standard for County FAs.
To support the adoption of FA technology systems across grassroots football.
To comply with FA rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidance that are in place from time to time.
