Ealing Trailfinders have always been a successful Rugby club and still is now. Three years ago the club wanted to get more young people participating in football, which began the formation of Ealing Trailfinders FC.

They started with one Under 17s team on a casual basis, where they just wanted people playing football and having fun whilst doing so. This allowed the club to build on these foundations and started recruiting players from all age groups with the goal to get them into competitive football matches. 

At present, the club now has 12 affiliated teams, including 4 girls teams which they are very proud to have. Almost all their teams have 2 sessions a week and all play in FA sanctioned leagues, although their youngest age group Under 8 are still at the more social stage with the ambition to get them in a sanctioned league when they are ready to do so. 

The club would look to continue to grow and thrive in the future. They have secured the facilities of Brentham and for this purpose they have very well kept grass football pitches for use. They would like an increase their girls provision at the club and would also have ambitions to run a competitive Women’s team.

On being an England Football Accredited Club, club official Gabriel Colquhoun commented: “Being an England Football Accredited club is hugely significant for us. We want to be recognised and seen to be the best we possibly can be, Accreditation is a huge step in that direction for us. We want to keep pushing for the 3 star accreditation so that we have as many people playing here as possible.”

As October winner of the England Football Accredited Club of the month, Gabriel went on to say: “It is such an achievement for us. It feels like we only started yesterday and now we are here! The time has really flown by but the stage we are at now is a real credit to the club, the parents, the kids and all our coaches. It’s the community side of this club that really stands out and it would mean so much to not only us but the whole community!”
