Wildcats Won't Stop

Applications Now Open for Wildcats Centres

Could you be Middlesex's newest Wildcats Centre?

From Thursday 1 November, clubs and organisations from across MIDDLESEX can apply to deliver a SSE Wildcats Centre.

The programme aims to increase the number of girls participating in football – and is a key part of The FA’s commitment to doubling women and girls’ football participation by 2020.

If you would like to be involved in this exciting programme and deliver an SSE Wildcats Centre, here’s what you need to know.

In the first instance, you need to make contact with Middlesex FA's Football Development Officers.

East: Ealing, Hounslow, Richmond - Ebony Beckford - ebony.beckford@middlesexfa.com
West: Harrow, Hillingdon, Spelthorne - Craig Nicholson - craig.nicholson@middlesexfa.com
North: Barnet, Enfield, Brent - Kelly Hancock - kelly.hancock@middlesexfa.com
Countywide - Colin Williams - colin.williams@middlesexfa.com

SSE Wildcats Centres MUST run for a minimum of 16 weeks.

ALL  SSE Wildcats Centres must complete registers at each session and upload them to the online system on a weekly basis. This is a crucial part of the funding criteria – and failure to upload registers may result in the funding being withdrawn.

All organisations will receive a £900 start-up grant and 30 Nike footballs.

Middlesex FA is committed to delivering the Wildcats programme and organisations will receive £600 for Year One delivery, plus the opportunity of a £100 bonus and £300 for Year Two delivery.

Lynsey Edwards, Head of Participation and Development at Middlesex FA, said: "Middlesex FA is passionate about growing participation in grassroots football; in particular the opportunities available to get girls playing in a fun and friendly environment. The Wildcats programme will give the team a chance to connect with clubs and support them in delivering a successful countywide Wildcats programme.

"If clubs would like to be recognised as one of the best places to play football they can collaborate with the County FA Development Officers to meet the criteria to achieve the Charter Standard accreditation."
