Introduction to Coaching Football is the perfect online football coaching course for anyone looking to take a more active role in the game.
Do you have a passion for wanting to develop players, help them understand more about the game and embrace a love for football? The Introduction to Coaching Football course is a great place to start.
Whether you are currently coaching a team or looking to get into coaching, this course will help you create a safe, fun, and positive football environment.
The course blends live weekly webinars, e-learning, community support and a range of resources to provide you with the skills to coach players of all ages.
We will focus on the player, the game, and you as a coach. You will learn from our coach developers who will share their experiences and knowledge on weekly webinar broadcasts. You will also connect with like-minded people via our coaching community to explore and share your stories while gaining advice and support throughout the course.
To pass Introduction to Coaching Football, you will need to work through e-learning modules, unlocking new ones each week, as well as completing a short online assessment. The e-learning can be completed in stages in your own time, and you will be given 12-months from your start date to complete the course. The FA Coaching Community
When you enrol, you’ll be given exclusive access to our online coaching community, which is a place for you to share tips, discuss ideas and learn from other coaches as you work through the course. To begin Introduction to Coaching Football you must complete EE Playmaker by England Football, which is a completely free online course focused on taking an active role in football.

I am looking to complete my FA Introduction to Coaching Football Course (formerly FA Level One), how can I do so?
This course is now available to complete in an online format delivered by FA Education. You can access this course here. A pre-requisite of this course is the BT Playmaker by England Football which is free of charge to complete online here.
I have started my FA Level One Course with Middlesex FA, but the qualification was postponed due to coronavirus. What are my next steps?
If you have attended up to a minimum of workshop 2 of your FA Level One Course in a face to face environment with Middlesex FA prior to December 2020 and are within your registration period, FA Education will assist you with completing the remainder of your course.
You should have received an e-mail from FA Education with details of how you can complete the remaining aspects of your course in a digital format. If you have not been contacted with details, please contact email@example.com.
I have started my Level One course, how long do I have to complete it?
If you have started a FA Level One course, you are given a two year registration period by 1st4sport to complete all aspects of the course, this includes all online modules. You must also have a valid FA First Aid & FA safeguarding Children qualification at the point of completion.
I have completed my FA Level One Course. When will I receive my certificate?
The FA Level One certificates are produced by 1st4sport directly and will be posted out. These usually follow 8 - 12 weeks from the date of completing all aspects of the course (including online modules). If you have not received your certificate after this timeframe, please contact 1st4sport on 0113 290 7610 or firstname.lastname@example.org .
