Disability Player Development Centre

The Middlesex County FA Player Development Centre (Disability) is currently based at The Ark Academy, Wembley. This is the next step along the Player Pathway for those players with elite talent to progress towards the National setup.

Boys and girls in school years 8 - 11 of a high ability level are eligible for the Centre and must be able to qualify for one of The FA impairment specific squads nationally:

  • Amputee
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Hearing Impaired/Deaf
  • Learning Disability (holds an SEN statement)
  • Visually Impaired

The Centre is run in accordance with the Association's Welfare Policy.  Training will take place weekly on Tuesdays at The Ark Academy, Wembley from 6pm - 7.30pm from October 2012 through to March 2013.  To register for trials, please download the flyer.  

The training schedule is as follows:

Trial dates:
SEPTEMBER - Tuesday 25th, 6.00pm -7.30pm and Saturday 29th, 10.00am - 11.30am 

Parents' Induction Evening:
Tuesday 2nd October, 6.00pm - 7.00pm

Training:
Sessions will run every Tuesday from October-March.  The squad will train between 6pm - 7.30pm

Kit Required:
Blue training top
Blue shorts
Blue socks
Blue sweatshirt Moulded studs or astro turf trainers

In the event of cold weather waterproof jacket and tracksuit to be worn.

Training will be supervised by the coaching team, which is made up of:
Ciara Allan, Head Coach
Ilirjan Memaj, Assistant Coach
Sophie Charman, Physiotherapist

The training will be geared towards football festivals, held at central venues on sates to be confirmed.  These festivals will run from 11am until 1pm and transport will be provided on both dates, leaving from the Ark Academy.
