FC Adaptaball named January Accredited Club of the Month

Congratulations to everyone involved at the club!

Middlesex FA is delighted to announce that FC Adaptaball have been named as our Accredited Club of the Month for January 2023.

Founded in July 2022 with the support from Elfrida FC, FC Adaptaball structure is to give players plenty of football experience whether it is playing the game, coaching or being involved with the digital side of football.

Their objectives are to give participants something they enjoy and love through the sport they cherish, and they are always looking to expand and grow the club so participants can enjoy plenty of football as long as they can.

Currently, FC Adaptaball has 5 teams playing in the Ruislip League, Brunel League, Hertfordshire League, North London Special League (NLSL) and Haringey League.

“We are grateful for the England Accredited scheme with the support for our development of the club. Without this scheme, we would be without certain things such as equipment, kit and ideas that help to grow the club moving forward,” a spokesperson from FC Adaptaball said.

“This award will mean that the club can go further and expand to support more participants that love being involved with football, whether that is on the pitch or behind the scenes.”

Dan Perkins, Middlesex FA Football Development Officer for Inclusion, said: “FC Adaptaball compete in both of our Accredited Middlesex County Disability Leagues, as well as various other competitions around the South East.

“The players have always been keen to get involved with as much football as possible, and Ashley (Club Secretary) has worked tirelessly to provide a safe and engaging environment for the players to develop technically, physically, psychologically and socially. They have also shown strong support for our Rainbow Laces campaign, with the club distributing laces to players which have been worn during fixtures.

“They provide a brilliant opportunity for people with disabilities to get involved in the game, make new friends and to keep active. The club have done a great job in creating a pathway to allow players to get involved with coaching at the club.

“Their communication with the league and Inclusion Officer has been second to none, which has really helpful with making sure the league runs as smoothly as possible.”
