Black History Month Coach Development Event

Join us on Wednesday 12th October 2022 (6.30pm - 9.30pm) at Middlesex University

As part of our Coach Development Offer, we are delighted to confirm our next face to face event during the 2022/23 season to support our coaches. 

Throughout these events, we will continue to provide learning opportunities and resources to our coaches that will support the development of more skilful players, more inspirational opportunities and develop more transformational coaches.
 
Join us on Wednesday 12th October 2022 (6.30pm - 9.30pm) at Middlesex University, Hendon Campus, Greyhound Hill, Hendon, NW4 4BT as we deliver an interactive session as part of Black History Month aimed at grassroots coaches. 

Hosted by FA Coach Developer & Founder of The Coaches Network, Yasar Latif, we will be joined by members of FA Staff and guest speakers including Troy Townsend, Alex Nichols, Danny Senda and other special guests.

Troy Townsend is the head of education at Kick it Out and has overseen many high profile campaigns for organisation and is a coach in his own right, having coached extensively in the non-league game.

Alex Nichols is currently an Individual Development & Technical Coach with Arsenal FC U16s. Alex holds the prestigious UEFA A License & FA Advance Youth Awards, and boasts over a decade of experience at working across EPPP academies including Brentford, Watford and now Arsenal.

Danny Senda is the Lead U18 Professional Development Phase Coach with Charlton FC, having previously held roles where he’s developed a range of experiences from Foundation Phase right through to first team football with clubs such as Leyton Orient, Barnet & Brentford, following a 15-year career as a player.

Gideon Jackson has vast experience in the grassroots game having worked for Tooting and Mitcham and Hampton & Richmond Borough to name a few. He is currently the Head of Football at Carshalton Boys School.

Carly Williams has vast experience in the boys and girls’ game, having worked right through from pre-academy to academy settings, and is currently U14s Head Coach for Arsenal FC Women’s Academy, alongside being part of the 22-23 seasons cohort for the England Football Mentee Development Programme.

This event will give coaches the chance to network with other coaches, England Football Coach Developers, Mentors & Community Champions, as well as hearing from our guest speakers who will cover the following:

Panel discussion on intercepting & decision making.
Guest interviews. We will also have a guest panel of up and coming new coaches who will give an insight into their journeys.
Audience Q & A.
There will be refreshments & small gifts for those in attendance
