Middlesex FA is bringing back the Bannisters Flexileague for 2023.

Having been run for several years and having proven very popular with local players across the region, the Bannisters Flexileague is set to return in January 2023, and will continue through to the end of May 2023. All games will be held on the 3G pitch at Bannisters Sports Centre in Harrow.

THE RULES OF THE BANNISTERS FLEXILEAGUE

The guidelines for the Bannisters Flexileague are as follows. Eleven-a-side games will be played ever two weeks on Wednesday evenings with kick-offs at 8pm and 9pm. Meanwhile, they will be timed to avoid players having to compromise on any personal or work commitments during weekends. No player registration is necessary, as you can play with friends that are available on the night of games.

Matches will last approximately one hour, and a roll-on, roll-off system will apply to substitutions. Middlesex FA will handle both the pitches and match officials, so there’s no hassle at all for players who can just turn up and enjoy the games. Any male players aged 16+ can play, and here is a £35 league entry fee that covers insurance throughout the season. Meanwhile, matches will cost £55 per team, amounting to around £5 per player.

THE VISION

Flexi-Football has a vision to offer a non-traditional format of our beautiful game. The goal is to provide extra competition for both existing and new players in a relaxed environment that is both friendly and fun. It offers an opportunity for individuals to develop their football skills and increase their fitness levels, as well as helping to signpost players wishing to play more football into traditional squads. Finally, there is a goal to help younger players into the eleven-a-side game with a safe and enjoyable format.
