Find out who is Accredited Club of the Month for May 2022!

Enfield Town Ladies provide football to girls from U10 up to their First Team, giving 165 women & girls the platform to express themselves through football.

Founded in 1985, the club originally set out as a 5-a-side team competing in tournaments, before they later grew and developed to run numerous teams at different age groups. They started out as Enfield Ladies FC, and during 2003 the Club made formal links with Enfield Town FC, the first fan owned Club, and were re-named Enfield Town Ladies FC.

The Ladies Section remains one of the largest and longest established clubs in the South East to this day. The Ladies First & Development Teams compete in the FA Women’s National League (FAWNL) and play their home games at the Queen Elizabeth II Stadium. The Third Team play in the highest division of the Great London Women’s Football League (GLWFL).

The club has a thriving youth section who compete in the Capital Girls League (CGL) and are currently running 2 x U10s, U12s, U14s, U15s and U16s.

The Club has approximately 165 playing members. The Club work hard to promote our “football for all” ethos by not holding trials, running as many teams as possible and keeping our annual subscription rates as low as possible.

Speaking to Enfield Town Ladies Secretary, Claire Forde, when asked what being England Accredited means to the club, Claire said, “We are super proud of being England Accredited. It shows that we are doing the right things for our players and we have all the processes in place to make football fun and safe for all.”

When asked about what winning this award means to the club, Claire said, It will be great to be externally recognised for all the hard work put in by an amazing group of volunteers that we have, without whom none of this would be possible.”

Claire also told us a little about the Club’s ethos, We are committed to developing girls & women’s football so are always on the lookout for new players – no previous experience is necessary, if you’d like to find out more, email us - newplayers@ladies.etfc.london

Enfield Town Ladies are also running their annual 5-a-Side tournament on Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th May. The tournament runs on the stadium pitch at their home, the Queen Elizabeth II Stadium! If you are interested in taking part, you can find the application form on their social media channels.
