Middlesex FA are now accepting applications for the brand - new Squad Girls Football programme – recreational football for girls aged 12-14. If you would like to be a provider  to gain funding, equipment and training to help make your session a success.

England Football Accreditation – Apply to Accredit!

We are delighted to confirm that we are now accepting applications from clubs who meet the criteria to apply to become an England Accredited Club.

Should you wish to apply, please visit your Club Portal where you can view your Club Dashboard and see if you meet the criteria to apply.  Here you will also find useful documents that you can adopt and submit as your own to support you with meeting the eligibility criteria.

WEURO: Female Only Referee Course

Women and girls across Middlesex boroughs (aged 14+) have the opportunity to become a qualified referee for just £30 (usual course price £135).

Refereeing – Online Assistant Refereeing Module  

The FA has released a new online learning module for new referees and club assistant referees. The Assistant Refereeing module can now be accessed HERE.

It will take approximately 20 minutes to complete and covers the role of the AR and their responsibilities; signals; positioning and movement; and working as a team. 

We hope this will prove to be a useful tool for those of you operating as club assistant referees on a regular basis.

Kooth – Middlesex FA Mental Health Campaign

Middlesex FA Youth Council are teaming up with Kooth, an NHS commissioned Mental Health service that will be providing support to Middlesex FA clubs and players aged 11-25. Attachments have been included to illustrate the support offered.

In the coming weeks, details will be confirmed for further online support and workshops which will be shared to leagues and clubs.

Women’s recreational 5-a-side league have limited spaces remaining for new teams and players to join the competition. Fixtures are played on Saturday afternoons at Capital City Academy, Brent.

The FA Introduction to Coaching Disability Bursary

Middlesex FA would like to offer disabled coaches the opportunity to receive full funding towards the completion of the FA Introduction to Coaching Football course (usual cost £160). 

Applications open until 18th February, with limited bursary’s available.

APPLY: Orange Ball Programme now available for Youth Teams

Middlesex FA are proud to launch a new innovative pilot project, supporting Youth teams from U15 to U18 to stay in the game. Bespoke psychological support will be provided to your team via our partnership with "Orange Ball", giving your players

  • An effective understanding of the positive physical, mental and social benefits football gives them
  • Tools to help them thrive in stressful environments (when football could previously have taken a back seat) such as around exams
  • Help support your coaches to build an effective environment to help the young players enjoy and develop their football

Coach Development Event (24/03/2022)

We are delighted to confirm delivery of our next face to face event – The Match Day Experience – as part of our Coach Development Offer for the 2021/22 season on Thursday 24th March 2022 at Middlesex FA HQ, Rectory Park, Ruislip Road, Northolt, UB5 6AU (6.30pm – 8.30pm). 

In this workshop, we will aim to explore some of the challenges faced by coaches on a match day but also, the opportunities that it presents in terms of the following key aspects:

  • Linking training to a match day.
  • Supporting the learning and enjoyment of the players.

How to plan, deliver and reflect effectively in relation to match day.
