PAN Disability League season comes to a close

    •

The Middlesex FA PAN Disability County League has recently seen the close of its 9th season. Season 2016/17 has seen 23 teams participate across the 3 divisions (Championship 1, Championship 2 and Friendly League) as well as competing in the PAN Disability County Cup Competition. Matches took place on the first Sunday of every month at Goals Ruislip with the County Cup taking place in June.

Middlesex FA would like to record its gratitude to all clubs and organisations involved this season as well as the committed referees to enable another highly successful season. Middlesex President, Jim Taylor, who presented the cups and medals to the winners and runners-up, expressed his pleasure at being invited to the final day, commenting:

'I always enjoy the finals day immensely. It is a privilege and pleasure to attend. The games are skilful and played in a great spirit. The enjoyment of everyone involved shines through and the organisation is superb. Congratulations on another successful event and season.'

The two league champions were presented with their trophies alongside the County Cup winners at the End of Season Presentation on Sunday 4th June.  In the Championship 1, league champions Feltham Spurs A missed out on cup glory with the trophy going to QPR in the Community Trust A. In the Championship 2, QPR in the Community Trust A lifted the league title earning promotion into Championship 1 whilst St Albans City B defeated DASH United to win the County Cup. In the league, there was no league title as all teams played friendly fixtures each month, however, the County Cup saw DASH Amblers beat St Albans City C in the final to retain the cup for a second season.
