What your Welfare Officer needs for 2010/11 season!

3:04 PM, Friday, 04 December 09. News

The MCFA would like to remind clubs with youth teams that from the beginning of the 2010/11 season you will need a Welfare Officer who has attended a Welfare Officer Workshop.

We are aware that a number of clubs have a Welfare Officer who hasn’t yet attended this course. If this is the case at the start of next season the club will not be able to affiliate. With this in mind we recommend that any Club Welfare Officer yet to attend this course enrol as soon as possible. A full list of current Welfare Officer Workshops is available by clicking here

Current Club Welfare Officers can attend the Workshop free of charge due to a sponsorship deal which has recently been struck with major re-insurance group Munich Re. If you are a Welfare Officer yet to attend the Workshop please take advantage of this fine opportunity!

A Welfare Officer will therefore need to have met the following criteria before a club with youth teams can affiliate for the 2010/11 season:
• Attended a Welfare Officer Workshop
• Hold a Safeguarding Children Course certificate
• Hold an FA CRB certificate

If you have any queries regarding this process or would like to discuss it further please contact MCFA Welfare Officer, Ray Herb on 020 8515 6910 or email ray.herb@middlesexfa.com
