Ritson Receives 50 Year Award

Jeff Ritson received an FA 50 year award at the Association's Presentation Evening at Rayners Lane FC on Tuesday evening. The award had been a tightly guarded secret and the audience gave Jeff a standing ovation as he went to receive his memento.

Jeff first joined the Association in 1967 and he was previously Club Secretary of Eton Grove FC. He served Brent Youth Football League as Treasurer, Registration Secretary and Secretary. He has represented Middlesex as Treasurer, President and is now a Life President. A current MCFA Councillor Jeff is also Chairman of the Adult Representative Match Committee.

Other recipients of awards on the evening included Long Service awards for John Booth (10 years), Robin Holloway (10 years), Wendy Jenkins (10 years) and Ray Green (25 years).

Match Officials David S Johnson and Tom Carrol received their Referee's Long Service Awards.

The Ladies Representative side received the John Tyson Cup for winning the South East Counties League, while County Cup Winners had the trophies represented with certificates.

County Caps for a minimum 7 games and special awards for players with more than 14 appearences were also presented.
