Middlesex FA - developing football for everyone
Development - take your skills to the next level

Women's Leagues

Women’s football has increased steadily in popularity over recent years with a big growth in girls football.  It is hoped that the England Women’s team progression to the World Cup in China this September and the promotion around this will encourage more 16+ year olds to get involved.

Adult teams based in Middlesex compete across a number of leagues and divisions (see related links, Women’s Football Pyramid document).

The majority of teams play in the heavily subscribed Greater London Women’s League, progressing into the Regional London and South East League and then onto the South East and West Combinations to the Tesco’s-sponsored National Southern Division.

We also have border teams playing in the Thames Valley and Surrey Women’s Leagues.

The FA are creating county women’s leagues across the country and Middlesex will have its very own from the 2008/09 season.

What is Futsal?
Futsal is indoor football with a difference. A high-paced five-a-side game, officially recognised by FIFA, that helps players improve their ball skills and tactical awareness. It uses a special rebound Futsal ball, hockey sized goals and touchlines so the ball can go out of play.
Futsal has been designed to provide an energetic and fast flowing game for spectators at the same time as allowing players to be at their most creative by allowing players to show off their attacking flair.
Some of the world’s greatest players past and present have attributed their skills to Futsal. Pele, Socrates, Zico, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Kaka to name a few

Why chose Futsal as winter training?
All matches are played indoors - you won’t have to worry about what the weather’s doing
It’s easy to get a team together - only 5 players are required on the court, and up to 5 substitutes are permitted.

Form a team with friends or work colleagues!

We supply the match balls and bibs - all you have to do is turn up and play!
