How volunteers can elevate your club
The Middlesex County Football Association is keen to promote the involvement and inclusion of volunteers within football. We aim to offer volunteers across Middlesex meaningful and fulfilling positions.
Clubs can play an integral role in this process: there are a variety of positions where assistance is required on a regular basis ranging from coaching at training sessions to dealing with the administration of duties.
Many essential roles and responsibilities go unseen and are often a huge burden on committed club members. Voluntary involvement within clubs is essential to help ease this burden but needs to be clearly defined to effectively manage expectation of both club and volunteer.
Wingate & Finchley F.C. have recently demonstrated an excellent example of good practice in how to recruit volunteers. Job descriptions have been produced for a variety of roles.
All of these detail the purpose of the role; who the person would report to, a list of responsibilities, who would be engaged with and a person specification.
If you are interested in volunteering at Wingate & Finchley F.C., David Thrilling invites you to get in touch with him through david.thrilling@soccerkits.com or call 07977 007746.
