Latest MCMA session a great success!

The FA Skills Team led by Kevin Green delivered an innovative and thoroughly interesting Middlesex Coaches and Managers Association session at the MCFA Centre of Excellence for Girls recently.

Delivering a session intended to develop a player’s Game Related Awareness the U12 and U10 girls were led through a number of activities by a member of the FA Skills Team. Whilst the session progressed the other FA Skills Team members would explain to the gathered coaches the purpose behind each activity.

Using the prescribed four corner method the session had clear technical, psychological, physical and social benefits for all of the talented players involved. MCMA coaches could see how this worked first-hand and were provided with comprehensive notes to take away to their own future sessions.

Praise was high from coaches who attended with some commenting that it was the best MCMA session they had seen yet. Impressive when previous tutors have included Stuart Pearce (England U21 Manager) and Aidy Boothroyd (Colchester United Manager) amongst many others.

Progressing from a fine year in 2009 the Middlesex Coaches and Managers Association will step into 2010 by joining with future Charter Standard In-Service events. This will mean an even greater range of sessions for coaches to attend next year.

The dates to make sure are in your diary for 2010 are scheduled as follows (all evening events):

Monday 1st February 2010
Monday 19th April 2010
