There are two Leagues planned, one in the North and the other in the West.
The North League will take place at Powerleague in Barnet (on the last Thursday of the month); the West League at Goals Soccer Centre in Hayes (on the last Wednesday of the month).
The FA uses the DDA definition of disability:
• A mental or physical impairment, which has substantial and long term adverse effect on his/her ability to carry out normal day to day activities.
• Substantiated – more than minor or trivial.
• Long-term – has lasted or is likely to last 12 months or more, or the rest of an individual’s life (if terminally ill).
• This definition covers hidden impairments such as mental illness or mental health problems and learning disabilities.
Taking place in October and November (all 2008), January, February, March, April and May (all 2009), the competition will provide you with a regular fixture programme for academic year.
It will be a pre-requisite that all College teams, like their mainstream counterparts, will need to affiliate in order to be eligible to participate in the Colleges Leagues. This is to help us ensure that we have a recognised structure running throughout all our football in the County in line with the Football Associations player pathway.
