This course is open to candidates over the age of 18 who have satisfactorily completed the Level 2 Certificate in Coaching football. It is ideally suited to someone who is working with a team over an extended period of time, with the aim of making a significant contribution to the performance of their team.
Qualification Objectives
In addition to expanding knowledge on all aspects covered in the Level 2 Certificate, successfully achieving the Level 3 Certificate will enable candidates to:
• Demonstrate an understanding of the knowledge required to plan, conduct and evaluate football coaching programmes
• Plan, conduct and evaluate individual coaching sessions within a structured and progressive coaching programme of advanced individual techniques, group skills and the principles of play
• Coach the skills and techniques of the game, including the principles of attack and defence through the use of phases of play, functional practices and small sided games (8 v 8)
• Coach the sport through an appropriate understanding of the Laws of the Game
