Coaching for Charter Standard clubs

If you are a Charter Standard club with teams for 5 to 11 year olds make sure you don’t miss the opportunity of having an FA Skills Coach come and deliver sessions for your youngsters.

With the new season kicking off we are in the process of co-ordinating the FA Tesco Skills Programme for the season. Coaches are available to come into your club for a six week block of exciting and informative sessions. The sessions are designed so that your coaches have the chance to work with the FA Skills Team and share some good practice.

The programme, focusing upon improving the talents of individual players across the country, is now moving into its second season following a successful debut season. To ensure that your club has the chance of making the most of this fantastic opportunity please contact Senior Football Development Officer, Leigh O’Connor, through leigh.o’connor@middlesexfa.com or call 020 8515 1925.

Unique link to attract 5 to 11 year old players!

The Middlesex County Football Association is keen to offer children across the region opportunities to join their local Charter Standard club. It is with this in mind that we would like to offer you the unique chance to be directly linked with coaching sessions carried out by the Association, including the FA Skills programme.

With the school year recently getting into full swing coaching sessions are being carried out through MCFA’s excellent team of Community Sports Coaches and the FA’s Skills Team. There are a number of children who will be keen to find exit routes from these coaching sessions into local clubs. We would like to be able to recommend Charter Standard clubs who are keen to take on young players.

By utilising your expertise we can inform the children and their parents/guardians of where and when training sessions take place for specific age groups at your club by handing out information at the coaching sessions we run.

School to Club links have been formed in the past and we are always seeking ways of making these as effective as possible. If you are interested in having your club directly promoted to children interested in finding clubs please contact Steeven Sharpe, Football Development Officer (Clubs) on 020 8515 6901 or email steeven.sharpe@middlesexfa.com
